Mindfulness with children?

Their only means of earnings is an old cow. One day the cow stops giving milk anymore, Thus, Jack´s mom sends him to the market to sell it. On his way to the market he meets a mysterious farmer who offers to give him tiny, little magic beans in exchange for the big cow. Jack takes the beans but when he arrives home without money, his mother becomes furious and throws the beans out the window and sends Jack to bed without having dinner. While Jack was sleeping, the bean grows into a gigantic beanstalk. Jack wakes up to behold an enormous beanstalk. He climbs the monumental beanstalk and arrives in a land high up in the sky where he follows a path to a huge castle, which is the home of a grumpy giant. Jack enters the huge castle and when the giant comes, he is hidden in a wardrobe. From this point of view Jack can hear the giant eating while a magic harp is singing and a hen is forced to give him a golden egg every day. Jack steals the hen and the harp and in the runaway he is almost caught by the giant who follows him down the enormous beanstalk. When Jack is down the beanstalk, he calls his mother for a large axe and cuts down the gigantic beanstalk down, killing the heavy giant. The end of the story has Jack and his mother living happily ever after with their new richness and the golden hen and the harp visit them.

ARTS AND CRAFTS

Experimentig with lines and dots

Objectives: Learn about the dot and the line.
Occupy the space available in a balanced way.
Acquire correct coordination and precision in drawing lines and shapes.
Experiment with different materials

Logical sequences

Draw dots and lines in logical sequences in a piece of paper. Discover the logic of the sequences, paying attention to the increasing, decreasing and alternating sizes of the dots, and to the sequence of colours. Look at the example.

Dots and colours

Finish filling in the shapes according to the styles indicated; at the same time, try to ensure that dots do not end up on top of each other. Use coloured pencils or felt-tip pens.

Let’s use dots

Finish the portrait taking into account the order in which colours should be used. To start, fill in the outline of the face with dots. Once the space between these lines is complete, finish the face using the colour combination indicated. Follow the example. Use felt-tip pens.
